Located in the heart of the Eastern Townships, the NATURE & AVENTURE cottage offers you tranquility and country pleasure near the Mont-Orford National Park. This ancestral home and restored to the taste of the day has multiple living areas that can accommodate up to 10 people with charm and comfort: 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds, 2 bunk beds single over double bed downstairs and one crib), small living room / entrance as well as main living room with a stone fireplace and television, 2 dining rooms, den, two bathrooms. In the basement, there is a family room and a room with 2 bunk beds that sleeps 6. We have a spa and an above ground swimming pool for the hot summers.
Morning coffee, BBQ dinner or campfire, come and enjoy the view of the woods! This property, which sits on 2.7 acres and has a small pond and stream that you can relish.
Enjoy a variety of outdoor, sporting and cultural activities all year round! The cottage, is close to lakes with sandy beaches, a golf courses, cycle paths, hiking trails, canoes and kayaks, tennis, spas, vineyards, shops and gourmet restaurants in Orford, Magog and the famous Hovey Manor! The cottage is 5 minutes from Magog and 15 minutes from North Hatley.
For the winter months, several activities are available to you: skiing at Mont-Orford (5 km), public skating rink (500 m), snowshoeing, walking, and cross-country skiing in the National Park only to name a few.

Summary: We stayed at Genevieve’s house for a ski vacation at Mont Orford - it really is only 5 minutes from the hill. We had all facilities that we needed while there. This is a quaint, quirky century old home…there were sitting areas outside of each bedroom on top of the spacious living room, dining room and breakfast eating area. Genevieve was available for any questions or concerns without delay and was most accommodating. As stated by others the staircases are steep but there are now grippy pads on the stairs.

Summary: We recently stayed at the cottage for a ski trip with our two teenagers and our dog. Genevieve is very responsive and helpful, we appreciated the timeliness of the communications. Kitchen is well-equipped and all appliances are updated (although we found some dishes in the cabinets dirty). As others commented, the house could use some updates. We found many plates and mugs with chips and there is only 1 shower (bathroom upstairs has a bathtub only). Some beds were more comfortable than others. The house is quirky but it is an old house so some of this is to be expected. Biggest concern was the main staircase - it is very slippery and steep, could be a hazard especially for small children and people with mobility issues. Overall I would say this property is perfect for large group of adults looking for simple lodgings near Mont Orford. We would be back if coming to the area again with our pup.

Summary: We had an awesome trip and loved the chalet. The place had an amazing vibe, lots of space, the driveway was plowed and our proximity to the hill was great.5 stars, we hope to come back!

Summary: We stayed in this charming farmhouse for a family weekend. The house is spacious and in a great location. We did find that the house and property need some updates and repairs.

Summary: We spent the holidays at this beautiful chalet and it was absolutely wonderful! Genevieve is an incredible host, she was very helpful and so fast to respond to my messages during our stay. There were plenty of rooms for our family of 6 and our two dogs, great amount of outdoor space as well to let the dogs run and play! The inside was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the rooms were clean and big. The fireplace inside was great and there are two nice big living rooms to hang out with family and play games. Overall an incredible stay and I can’t wait to go back!
